£ depending on experience and hours 
We need a qualified Town Planner with 1-5 years experience, either with or working towards MRTPI membership. This job could also suit a local authority planning officer with more years experience, but looking to work part-time. We will consider both full and part time applicants. At ECA you can develop your career by working on a variety of projects from unique private residential schemes, to high density mixed use regeneration projects, education and community projects. We work across the South-East and some travel should be anticipated.

You will work with our Planning Director on the preparation and management of planning applications, preparation of  representations to emerging development plans and on neighbourhood plans, community consultation and funding applications. You will be expected to manage your work independently and have good working knowledge of the Planning System. You need to be flexible and able to take on new tasks, quickly.
Located within Poole Old Town in a Grade 2* listed building,  we are a small multi-disciplinary team of Architects and Planners. We have a ‘green ethos’ and specialise in unique solutions to all our architecture, planning and community projects.  Think team lunches, Slack, iMac’s and Trello!

Architect (Part 2 or Part 3 Registered)
£28,000 – £35,000 a year
We are looking for a Part 2 or Part 3 Architect. You will be the senior member of the architecture team leading your own projects.  You will work in a highly autonomous environment on a huge portfolio of clients alongside qualified and part qualified Architects, Visualisers and Town Planners. We have a creative and collaborative approach to working, and want everyone in the team to have the best tools and environment they need to be successful. Think team lunches, Slack, iMac’s and Trello!

In terms of experience, you will have experience as an architects assistant in the UK and completed your Part 2 or Part 3 Architecture Qualification. We want to help you grow as we do and the most important thing for us is that you enjoy your work, you enjoy being challenged and you are looking to work with a great team and growing business.

You will have:

  • Experience in an architects practice
  • Demonstrable UK experience (We want to see your work)
  • Working knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
  • Experience using design and drawing software
