Progress is picking up pace on our “groundbreaking” Passivhaus in North Dorset!

The foundations have now been dug, inspected and cast, with all the service pipes, ducts and drains positioned carefully to integrate with the timber frame at a later stage.

The insulated raft former by Isoquick is arriving on site after the weekend, which will allow the reinforcement and the slab to follow shortly after.

Lots of drains, ducts and pipes for both current use and future expansion (ground source heating)

Groundworks are also progressing to the south of the main house, with the excavations for the stables and garage progressing well. (the chickens approve of all the disturbed soil and potential bugs around!!)
