Holiday Inn Brighton

Located prominently on the Brighton seafront within the Regency Square Conservation Area, this project involves the comprehensive exterior renovation of a 17-storey, 1960s modernist tower block. The existing building, previously clad in dated brown mosaic tiles, was considered an overbearing and unattractive feature of the Brighton skyline.

The proposals seek to significantly improve the building's visual impact by rendering the main facade to create a brighter, more sympathetic appearance that complements its outstanding historic setting. In addition to the tower's aesthetic transformation, the project includes the installation of a new, contemporary ground-floor entrance canopy.

These careful architectural interventions not only upgrade the visitor accommodation facilities but also provide visual interest at street level, encouraging footfall and contributing to the vitality of the town centre. Ultimately, the scheme delivers a respectful and embracing design that supports the year-round tourism, leisure, and cultural role of the Brighton seafront.
