We worked with BCP council and the Townsfund group to secure planning permission for the complete renovation and restoration of this grade 2 listed shopping arcade. The build had severely deteriorated in recent years . The main facade was coming away from the rest of the building and the grand cupola was in danger of collapsing. All the existing shops within the arcade once had first and second floor accommodation above. Over the yers the stairs were removed but the empty spaces remained. They have since become derelict. We proposed linking all these spaces together and creating new lift access points in two of the shops. These spaces will form "incubator" offices for startup companies in Boscombe. The planning consent was acheived in 8 months. It previously had a number of failed applications to convert it to residential use. We look forward to building the project out with Townsfund regeneration grant.
